We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Liability

Liability for content

As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with general legislation. We are not, however, obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected; liability in this respect is only possible from the point in time at which a concrete infringement becomes known. Upon notification of such violations, we will remove the content immediately.

Liability for links

Our website contains links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. We therefore cannot accept any liability for this third-party content. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking; unlawful content was not discernible. Permanent monitoring of the content of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement. Upon notification of violations, we will remove such links immediately.

The content and works created by the site operators on these pages are subject to German copyright law. Duplication, processing, distribution and any form of commercialisation beyond the scope of copyright law require the prior written consent of the respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this site are permitted for private, non-commercial use only.

Privacy notice

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run this website, to answer your enquiries, and to operate the client portal.

Hosting and server logs

Our hosting provider, Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany, may record standard server log data such as IP address, requested page, referrer, browser and time of access. This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and stable website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Contact form

If you use the form on the contact page, the details you enter are processed solely in order to respond to your enquiry, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. We do not use them for advertising and do not pass them to third parties without your consent. Enquiry data is deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Client accounts and the customer portal

If you create an account, we store your email address and a salted hash of your password — never the password itself — together with the quotes and offers assigned to you. If you sign in with a Microsoft account instead, we store the identifier your directory issues and your email address, and no password at all. This processing is necessary to perform our contract with you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). A session cookie keeps you signed in; it is strictly necessary for the portal to function and sets no advertising identifier.

Payments

Payments in the portal are handled by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. When you pay an offer, PayPal receives the data needed to process that transaction and acts as an independent controller for it under its own privacy policy. We store only the PayPal order reference and the payment status — never your card or PayPal credentials, which are never transmitted through our servers.

Email

Outbound email — enquiry notifications and account messages — is sent through Microsoft 365 using the Microsoft Graph API. Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited acts as our processor for this.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies and embeds no third-party trackers, fonts or maps. The only cookies we set are the strictly necessary session and CSRF cookies described above. The PayPal SDK is loaded from PayPal's servers, and only on the portal page where a payment button is actually shown.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about your stored personal data, and to request its correction, deletion or restricted processing, as well as the right to data portability and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact hello@italiancloud.co.uk.
